Extreme South Dakota Winter

The first picture below was taken by a customer using one of Kasco's De-Icers. This shows the smallest size that the open water reached this winter. It occurred after 10 consecutive days of 20 degrees Fahrenheit below zero in a fairly shallow pond. The Optional C-20 Temperature/Time Control Box was used to control the De-Icer. The De-Icer was set on a schedule of 3 hours on and 4 hours off. Running the De-Icer just 12 hours a day, in a shallow pond, with temperatures at least 20 below for 10 consecutive days, still allowed for some happy ducks in South Dakota. Below is a picture once the temperatures started to rise above zero.
