"Just thought I would drop you a line to let you know about one of your De-Icer units, the 125V, 3/4hp unit, model F3400/D. We had an existing unit we have been maintaining open water in front of the gates on our dam in Lake Delton and the motor burned out on it. This was not one of yours. We contacted the vendor that we bought the unit from originally and they said it would be two weeks for a new one to arrive. We needed something sooner to keep the ice from forming at the dam so we contacted a local boat company in Wisconsin Dells to see if they had a unit we could borrow or buy. They had a spare F3400/D that they were willing to let us use. We were a little skeptical because it looked really small compared to what we had used before. We tried it anyway, mounting it to the float we had for the other unit. We were amazed. It did a better job than the other unit and is a much simpler unit. We plan to buy and use yours now.
